North America Stationary Sign Systems

Luminator has many years of experience in manufacturing and installing complete information systems for the Mass Transit Industry including voice, destination signs and stationary displays.  Luminator has been designing products since 1928 and has provided systems to almost every Transit Authority in the United States.

Our Partners include: Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) has 450 Luminator Bus Shelter Signs that receive arrival information from the CTA Discover website. Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) has 280 Luminator Bus Shelter Signs, and their Luminator Server pulls arrival information from six different Transit Agencies and distributes it throughout their system. The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Rail system has 82 Luminator Full Color Platform Signs, and their Luminator Server distributes arrival information from GE and INIT. All of our systems can:

  • Interface with multiple data sources.
  • Display accurate and up to date arrival information.
  • Meet ADA visual and audio requirements.
  • Meet and exceed the demands of the harsh transit environment.
